Okayama Castle is a must-see site on every visitor’s itinerary. The castle was bombed and destroyed in the war and has been rebuilt. Also called “Crow Castle” because of its black color, the castle offers a great view of the city and neighboring Korakuen Garden from the top floor.

In addition to viewing displays of historical items, visitors can try the kimono-wearing experience (free-of-charge but limited to 5 people per hour), palanquin experience (guests can take photos inside), and Bizen pottery-making workshop (fees and shipping fees apply). There is also a special Okayama fruit parfait available for those who want a sweet treat.
